Online Exhibit - Bahala na Kung Art Yan!

Art Show Philippines opens an online group exhibition entitled, “Bahala na Kung Art Yan!” featuring artworks by various artists including Richard Lasam.

As described by Art Show Philippines:

Bahala Na Kung Art ’Yan! is a playful yet thought-provoking exhibition that invites us to pause and ask: What makes something art?

Rooted in the Filipino expression “bahala na,” the exhibition embraces uncertainty, spontaneity, humor, and the freedom to create without being confined by expectations. The phrase becomes both a challenge and an invitation—to look beyond familiar definitions, to question what we consider beautiful or meaningful, and to allow ourselves to experience art in our own way.

Art does not always need to explain itself. Sometimes, it simply needs to make us feel, wonder, laugh, remember, or see something differently. Through diverse artistic voices and approaches, Bahala Na Kung Art ’Yan! celebrates the openness of contemporary art in the Philippines. It recognizes that art can be personal, experimental, ordinary, strange, joyful, or even difficult to define.

Perhaps the question is not “Is this art?” but rather, “What does this make you see, feel, or think?” And if it speaks to you — bahala na… art ’yan!
