Good Things Do Happen Book Launch

MAKATI CITY - Three hundred sixty-six stories came together in a special book created by Lianne A.D. Tiu, called Good Things Do Happen. Inspired by the books of St. Josemaria Escriva (The Way, The Forge, and Furrow), Tiu collected stories of faith to make a book that—as my friend bookstagrammer Gabi Francisco wrote in her review—reminds us that "there is love that surpasses all trials and tribulations, if we only have the eyes to look for it despite our pain."

The book launch on October 10, 2026 featured four stories from the book read by the authors themselves. Lianne Tiu shared her experience coming up with the project and seeing it through with the help and advice from trusted friends and family. The event was capped with a song sung by Bernardo Villegas, Solamente Una Vez, and delicious refreshments. It was held in Discovery Primea, Makati City.

With contributions from Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, Solita "Winnie" Monsod, Bernadette Sembrano, and Audrey Tan Zubiri, as well as authors of different backgrounds, Good Things Do Happen offers stories for every kind of reader to enjoy: some will make the readers laugh, some will make them cry, but all of them were written to give a deeper look on life and faith, and hopefully for readers to take to their daily life a kernel (or a handful of kernels) of wisdom that inspired St. Josemaria all those years ago. You don't need to know this good saint to appreciate the little stories in each page of the book!
