Working on Inkscape has really changed how I look at patterns - so many possible shapes and configurations that were impractical in sketchup or CAD programs are so efficient to do in Inkscape. Anyway, this pattern relies on diamonds intersecting at certain points to present a star in the middle. I was also thinking slightly of floor plans and lanterns for this one.
