I am recently learning a new program called inkscape since I want to explore more ideas beyond the usual patterns I can create in architectural programs. This one is one of the first I have done in inkscape - and also the first in a while to use a color more than black! I often think that gold is an appealing compliment to black, so i used it as an accent for this pattern.
Since I enjoy working with a grid, I was pleasantly surprised that inkscape does this automatically, as well as tiling commands and other such convenient systems not often present in the programs I used before. For this pattern, I was thinking of elaborate cross shapes and circular objects to incorporate to this one.
