I always liked the idea of optical illusions, especially visual ones that can be found in patterns. For this pattern sequence, I went with combining diamonds and stars that create a suggestion of an eight sided polygon depending on which shapes you are focusing on. If you focus on the white shapes, another 4 point star emerges.
