February 15, 2026 – The Rotaract of Mega EDSA held a fundraising workshop on mental wellness through art on a Sunday afternoon at the MEJO Kitchen & Bar in Quezon City. The event, called “Salinsining,” invited Catherine Lasam-Ballo of ARTGuro Philippines and Richard Lasam of Space & Care – Art Deco GeoMetrica to teach art doodling for mental wellness.
The art workshop raised funds for the programs of Hospicio De San Jose, catholic foundation helping the poor and those in need. MEJO Kitchen & Bar in Quezon City provided the venue and catering for the event, which was attended by youth leaders across various fields.
The speakers taught the participants a form of meditative pattern drawing—or drawing small repetitive patterns that form larger, more intricate forms. The aim of this form of drawing is to help clear up the mind and hone one’s focus. Participants combined their works to create a bigger, more cohesive artwork.
Space & Care would like to thank Rotaract of Mega Edsa, MEJO Kitchen & Bar, and Catherine Lasam-Ballo for the opportunity to share an afternoon of art and creativity with young people.
